A physiotherapist performing dry needling on a patient's shoulder at Axis33

Assessed properly. Treated specifically.

Targeted physiotherapy designed to alleviate pain, restore function and prevent recurrence: evidence-based treatment in English or Spanish, from your first consultation to your last.

Medicare Bulk Billing is available on a 30-minute consultation for eligible patients. Medicare covers the appointment and you pay no out-of-pocket cost. Prefer a longer session? A 1-hour consultation is available too, with a gap fee for the extra time.

Five ways in, explained properly.

Initial Physiotherapy Consultation

60 min
From $150
What it is
Your first visit to the clinic: a full health history, physical assessment and diagnosis, and a personalised recovery plan.
Who it's for
Anyone booking with us for the first time, whether it's a new injury, ongoing pain, or a WorkCover, NDIS or CTP referral.
What we treat
Sports injuries, post-operative recovery, persistent pain, and anything that needs a proper diagnosis before treatment starts.
What happens in the consultation
We talk through what's going on, test movement and strength, identify the likely cause, and explain it back to you in plain language.
How it helps
You leave knowing what's actually wrong, not a guess, and with a plan built around it instead of a generic exercise sheet.
What to expect
Clothing you can move in, any referral or claim paperwork, and about an hour of your time.

Standard Physiotherapy Consultation

45 min
From $135
What it is
Your follow-up appointment once the initial assessment and plan are in place.
Who it's for
Existing patients continuing treatment for an injury, surgery recovery, or an ongoing insurance claim.
What we treat
Progression of whatever was identified at your initial consultation: pain, mobility, strength, function.
What happens in the consultation
Hands-on treatment, pain management, and progression of your recovery plan based on how you've responded since last time.
How it helps
Keeps recovery moving forward with a plan that adjusts to your progress, instead of repeating the same session on autopilot.
What to expect
A shorter, focused session. We already know your history, so we get straight into treatment.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Included in consultations
What it is
Hands-on treatment for muscles, joints, tendons and nerves: manual therapy, dry needling, and targeted exercise.
Who it's for
Anyone with pain or restricted movement coming from the musculoskeletal system, not an underlying medical condition.
What we treat
Back and neck pain, shoulder and knee injuries, tendinopathies, muscle strains, and joint stiffness.
What happens in the consultation
Assessment of the affected area, then hands-on treatment, manual therapy and dry needling where appropriate, combined with specific exercise.
How it helps
Reduces pain and restores movement at the source, rather than just managing symptoms around it.
What to expect
Direct contact with the treated area, so wear clothing that allows easy access to it.

Posture & Movement Analysis

60 min
From $120
What it is
A detailed assessment of posture, movement patterns, mobility and strength.
Who it's for
People with recurring pain that hasn't been explained yet, or anyone wanting to catch imbalances before they become an injury.
What we treat
The root cause behind recurring tightness, poor posture from desk work, or movement patterns that keep aggravating the same area.
What happens in the consultation
We assess how you stand, move and load your body, and identify the imbalances driving the problem.
How it helps
Turns a vague "my back always hurts" into a specific, addressable pattern, before it becomes a bigger injury.
What to expect
Fitted clothing so we can actually see your posture and movement, and some simple movement tasks.

Healthy Ageing

Duration confirmed at booking
What it is
Physiotherapy focused on maintaining strength, balance and independence as you age.
Who it's for
Older adults wanting to stay active and independent, or anyone recovering strength and confidence after a fall or a period of inactivity.
What we treat
Balance and falls risk, general deconditioning, joint stiffness, and the confidence to keep moving.
What happens in the consultation
Assessment of strength, balance and mobility, followed by a graded exercise plan built around what you can safely do today.
How it helps
Reduces falls risk and helps you keep doing the everyday things, like stairs, getting up from a chair or walking the dog, independently.
What to expect
A pace suited to you, with progress reviewed regularly rather than a fixed program.

Questions before you book

Specific to physiotherapy. See Rehabilitation for WorkCover, NDIS and CTP questions.

Do I need a referral to see a physio?

No, you can book directly with any of our physiotherapists. A referral is only needed if you're claiming through WorkCover, CTP, or a provider that requires one.

Which consultation should I book first?

If this is your first visit, start with the Initial Physiotherapy Consultation. It includes the full assessment everything else builds on. Standard Consultations are for follow-up sessions once you have a plan in place.

What does Medicare Bulk Billing mean here?

For eligible patients, a 30-minute consultation can be bulk billed. Medicare covers it and you pay nothing out of pocket for that appointment. A longer, 1-hour consultation is available if you'd prefer, with a gap fee for the extra time.

Does private health insurance cover physiotherapy?

Most extras policies cover physiotherapy. Check your policy for physiotherapy extras and any annual limits.

Can I be seen in Spanish?

Yes, Luis consults in both English and Spanish.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Any referral or claim paperwork you have, a list of current medications, and clothing you can move in. Shorts or leggings are ideal if we're assessing a leg or hip.
